Facial Mesotherapy

Moisture loss, dryness, progressive pores, discoloration, lines, and wrinkles start developing in our skin over time, as a result of aging and environmental factors. The most important cause of these problems is that the collagen content of the skin and the blood flow feeding the skin decrease over time.

Especially factors such as weak collagen structure, chronic sun damage, and smoking cause these effects to appear earlier and become more pronounced. Topical creams often remain insufficient to nourish the skin, because they can barely reach the deep layer that provide nutrition to the skin and contain the actual collagen content. Mesotherapy, on the other hand, is a very effective treatment procedure because it delivers substances directly to the deep layer of the skin.

What Substances Are Used in Facial Mesotherapy?

There is no standard treatment model for facial mesotherapy. A personalized mesotherapy mixture is prepared after analyzing the type, color, and laxity of skin and the condition of the pores. After applying local anesthetic cream and waiting for a while, this mixture is injected into the deep layer of the skin by using very fine-tipped needles. This mixture improves the blood circulation of the skin, stimulates cell regeneration, increases the collagen content, and ensures moisturization of the skin. Mesotherapy products intended only to moisturize the skin are available, but it is possible to obtain a mixture to correct all skin problems.

Is Mesotherapy A Painful Procedure?

We perform mesotherapy very comfortably by applying local anesthetic creams, and in some cases, by using the cooling technique. Applications take 15 to 30 minutes on average, depending on the procedure performed.

In How Many Sessions Should Mesotherapy Be Performed?

Each skin type responds to mesotherapy differently. It is performed in 3 to 4 sessions on average. The intervals between the sessions vary from 2 to 4 weeks, depending on the procedure.

When Does The Effect Of Mesotherapy Start Being Noticed?

The effect of the procedure starts becoming noticeable between 4 and 8 weeks. This period of time may be longer depending on the extent of the problem to be corrected. After each session, redness and mild edema develop on the face. The edema and redness disappear within 2 to 3 days.

What Are The Points To Take Into Consideration After Mesotherapy?

After mesotherapy, it is necessary to avoid concealers such as foundation cream and extremely hot environments such as steam baths for a period of 2 to 3 days. In addition, it is recommended to avoid direct sunlight for 1 week, and to use sunscreens if sun exposure is inevitable. If any other substance such as botulinum toxin or filler will be applied in addition to mesotherapy, it is recommended to ensure 4 to 5-day intervals between them.
