Botulinum toxin is derived from a bacterium. It is a common myth that Botox is snake venom or something like that. It has been first used to treat strabismus, and with its muscle relaxant effect, it has been one of the top products used today for cosmetic purposes.

It is applied to all ages over 18 around the world, and since the level of awareness on this issue is increasing with each passing day, formation of lines is prevented by applying lower doses at earlier ages. How Long Does Its Effect Last?

The effect of Botulinium toxin lasts 3 to 6 months on average.

Application

Because botulinum toxin is injected subcutaneously, topical anesthetic creams applied to the skin do not provide a considerable benefit. I apply botulinum toxin by cooling the skin and I think this is quite effective in reducing the pain. The procedure is performed using very fine-tipped needles. The procedure takes 5 to 10 minutes on average.

After The Application

Despite being rare, mild redness may be observed on the skin but it disappears within 24 hours. Its effect starts being noticed within 1 to 2 days. The desired effect appears within 7 to 10 days.
