Apart from this, prominent ear operation can be performed at any age from the age of 4. The ideal age, on the other hand, is 6 years old, when both the ear size is almost equal to the adult size and the level of consciousness is sufficient to perceive this operation.

Operation

The prominent ear operation takes an average of 1 hour. By making an incision behind the ear, the auricle is reshaped and the angle of the auricle with the skull is adjusted. When the operation is performed under local anesthesia, no hospitalization is required. If it is performed under general anesthesia, you stay in the hospital for 1 night. Daily activities can be performed within 2-3 days. You can take a bath on the 5th day. It is recommended to use tennis bandage for 3 weeks after the operation.
